Upcycling at scale is achievable

In a pioneering sustainability initiative, Dr. R. Sri Ram, Founder and Managing Director of Bags of Ethics (Supreme Creations), outlines in online media EDIE.net how a strategic collaboration with British Airways led to the successful upcycling of thousands of decommissioned airline uniforms.

Rather than sending over eight tonnes of high-quality textiles to landfill, the project transformed them into more than 10,000 new, practical products, including luggage tags, document holders, and picnic blankets, combining functionality with heritage.
